MyDoom variant discovered 7-26-04 

A new variant of the MyDoom virus has been uncovered. This worm propagates via email creating messages using its own SMTP engine. Email addresses are harvested from the infected machine, and the "From:" address of the outgoing messages is spoofed. Please make sure that ant-virus software is updated with the latest virus definitions. If you feel that your system has been compromised by this worm download and run MacAfee's Stinger. This program will detect and remove this worm.
